Our Storage Nodes are designed to operate on existing hardware that is already online 24/7. If you prefer to set up a node on a dedicated system, please feel free to calculate the requirements accordingly.

Some examples of Storage Node Installations:

You operate a node for a CPU or GPU-intensive project and want to utilize the remaining storage capacity.
You operate a NAS with Docker compatibility and available capacity.

Presales

Until the presale ends on 02.04.2025, on the website [app.wesendit.io/nodes](https://app.wesendit.io/nodes/), node operators can obtain the WeStakeit NFT required for operating a node. The presale offers 12 tier levels, with the stake per tier serving as collateral and proof of commitment to operate the node and support the network. To ensure constant availability and integrity of data, the stake is locked for a minimum of 52 weeks. For this direct proof of commitment, all future node operators immediately receive rewards from the staking pool upon acquiring their WeStakeit NFT license. These rewards can be additionally claimed at the end of the 52-week lock-up period, and they receive a time-limited 8x multiplier for the provided storage. The multiplier will be activated automatically from the first day the node joins the Mainnet and is active for the first 180 days. If a user decides against operating a node, they can sell their NFT and the associated benefits.

Rewards during the Presale (WeStakeit NFT)

WeStakeit NFT holders who received their stake during the presale phase can claim their rewards from the staking pool after 52 weeks only if they have used their WeStakeit NFT to activate their node.

Rewards after the Presale (NodeNFT License)

The minimum number of WSI Tokens required as a stake (collateral) for operating NEBULA, ORBIT, or COSMOS nodes depends on the type of node operated. 

The security deposit (stake) required to run a node will be fully unlocked if you decide to shut down your node according to the proper process. However, the security deposit will be slashed\* if the system detects fraud or manipulation. <br>
\*We reserve the right to adjust the conditions for a slashing in the future.

Following the Node Security Deposit:

By acquiring a higher node license, your storage will be occupied earlier than others, allowing you to receive full rewards for the provided storage space.

Node operators can use their WeStakeit NFT license acquired during the presale to operate a node. This WeStakeit NFT can later be exchanged for a NodeNFT license, which allows the operation of one of the three node types (NEBULA, ORBIT, COSMOS). Alternatively, node operators can also purchase the NodeNFT license directly after the presale to operate one of the three node types.

Node operators receive partially rewards as soon as the Node reaches the Checknet, full rewards will be given on the Mainnet. Read more about the rewards calculation[ here](https://docs.wesendit.io/en/wesendit-token-usecases/reward-system-for-node-operators). 

KYC

Only users who are at least 18 years old can claim rewards and will undergo a KYC process when claiming their rewards.

Due to regulations, some countries or regions are excluded from operating a node or participating the presale. This includes, but is not limited to users from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the regions of Crimea, Donetsk People's Republic, and Luhansk People's Republic.
